This is the setup inside ukc:

Mike, mars and lucy only get ukc groups.

Merlin gets ukc and uk/eunet groups.

Most groups are fed from/to mcvax - i.e. bidirectional feed.

Two groups (rec.audio, rec.motorcycles) are fed from the USA
into axion.bt, and must NOT be fed into mcvax.

NNTP-fed machines cannot post news at present.

Kestrel is the gateway, and is called "ukc" for news purposes,
but if you are ftp-ing stuff you have to say "kestrel".

All this is controlled by the ~news/sys and ~news/active files
on each machine.
