HELP! Occam on VMS doesn't work for me! Don't panic - it doesn't work for anybody in varying degrees. Q: I say "ops/vt100" and all my fold have gone! A: You haven't "set default [.jw]" for this session yet. Q: When I compile "EXE hello", it doesn't work. A: What *does* it do? It says "Compiling (VAX) EXE hello..." for ever. You haven't copied (ie unfiled and filed) "...F demonstrations". "Error 21:-1105 Failed to close code file" You haven't copied "...F hello". "Error: not on a compiled foldset" You haven't filed "... hello". or You've inserted a blank line before "...F hello" inside "... EXE hello". Q: When I try to file "...F hello", it sits there saying "Filing..." for ever. A: That's because you haven't copied "...F demonstrations" yet. Never copy a fold until you have copied all of its parent folds. Q: When I try to compile "EXE test", it says "Compiling (VAX) EXE test..." for ever. A: I'm not quite sure *what* is happening inside test. Unfiling it, deleting the leading directory name "cur3:[cur021.ote]" and filing it as "test" seems to work.
