The list may be incomplete, so PLEASE if you wish to be included, let me know. If you are on the list but do not wish to be, simply ask. For those new here, to reiterate the DSPNET project is a small hardware design containing a programmable DSP processor, A/D, D/A, memory, midi interface, and software to allow custom programs to be downloaded over midi sys-ex into the box. The box will be able to do synthesis, signal processing, signal analysis, a very wide range. The cost target is to get one of these beasties into your hot little hands for less than $250. The hardware specifications are just firming up, any suggestions are welcome. I will be posting the revision 1 spec for the group's comment's soon. I am possibly going to be able to get 56000 Data books sent out to us all, or alternatively, contact your local Motorola rep for one. The names preceeded with a * are those who I know I have a mailing address for. If you wish to get in on non-electronic-mail things, send me your mailing address. As you may suspect, the 56000 has won the design. The price difference will not even be $100 as I earlier quoted, more like $35 or so. More hardware details will be coming. We have something going here, I think Motorola will be interested in what we are doing. Lets make this a good participation project. Find more people into music, programming and midi to sign up, they do not necessarily have to have access to USENET. Bring it up at local midi users groups or computer users groups. As things stand right now, we will still need cross assemblers for all hosts. Just maybe, there might be one for the IBM PC family available already. Someone mentioned the CHASM (CHeap ASeMbler) public domain assembler that is either macro based, table driven, or otherwise easily customizable assembler. Put out requests on the other news groups corresponding to your host machines, asking about modifiable cross assemblers, or public domain source code. Well, thats it for now.
